Blogger In Training- First Post

Hi there everyone, just thought I would introduce myself. My name is Allison and I am 21 years old, pregnant with my first child. I hope you all bear with me as I learn everything to this whole process. I feel as though this blog can relate to my venture into the motherhood life, as you must learn about your strengths and deal with your fears. I am hoping to get to relate to some of you.

I am currently 11 weeks pregnant with my first child. They are already the light of my life and I cannot wait for August 4th to get here. My husband, Trey, and I go this coming weekend to get the blood test done, which can tell us whether we are going to be welcoming a boy or girl into this world. We could not be any more excited. Throughout this blog I am going to be describing my ups and downs with being pregnant, as I make my way into motherhood. Thankfully for me, I have not had any morning sickness! Hallelujah! I know that there is no way I will get this lucky next time around, so I am soaking it up now while I can.

Okay so a little background on the pregnancy thus far. I was actually the mom that knew I was pregnant before I was showing up on a test. I had taken two home tests that came back with a negative result before I finally missed a period, in which I waited until the end of that week, and then took another test to finally receive a positive. I was so excited to tell my husband that it was good news this time and that we were going to be parents! My first two at home tests that I took were actually before I had missed a period so I wasn’t shocked when they were coming out negative, but I just had that feeling inside that I knew I was pregnant. I even resorted to looking up the ways, other than a store bought test, that I could see if I was pregnant. I think I tried the sugar test, the toothpaste test, and the vinegar test. I had no luck with any of them by the way, I think its more of a coincidence anyways. I kept waiting for my breasts to be sore so that I would really know, since I never had that symptom during regular PMS, and it never came. I was feeling hopeless before my test that came up positive, which is why I waited until the end of the week so that I would know for sure one way or the other if I was pregnant. Now my breasts hurt so bad, Trey enjoys that they have enlarged a bit even though he knows he’s not aloud to touch. I have definitely been noticeably more tired, but as I’m reaching the threshold for the second trimester I think I’m regaining a bit of energy. MY BACK! My back has been my biggest enemy already, so I can only imagine how the rest of the pregnancy will go. My lower back has always hurt me, but since probably 2 or 3 weeks ago it has been giving me such bad pains. It is something I am used to though, so I am doing my best to just roll with it! I think my husband would say the worst symptom is my overly moodiness, but hey I cannot control that! I think that is all for today, but keep in touch for more!

If there is anything at anytime that any of you would like me to personally address, feel free to shoot me an email and I will write about it in the following post or so. If you guys could like or share this post with other expecting mommas, I would greatly appreciate it.
